Guillaume

Hello, I'm

Guillaume

and I show the invisible.

For almost twenty years I've been turning the physical world into something you can see, measure, and act on: mobile apps, augmented reality, digital twins, point clouds, and the occasional SaaS architecture that had to actually survive contact with a client. Different tools, one instinct: take what's there but unseen, and make it useful to someone.

That instinct is also how I lead: technically when the problem calls for it, as a manager when the people do. The things that go unspoken on a team are usually the ones that matter most, and I've learned to look for them. I care less about picking the right label for what I am than about finding the right room to be useful in.

I think from Burgundy, which is not a metaphor. Remote-first by geography, deliberate by choice. I build things here too: in wood, on a 3D printer, behind a camera, or a drum kit, occasionally in code that has nothing to do with work.

/ Core Skills

Key areas of expertise and specialization

Digital Twins

I've been building digital twins since 2007.

From a chapel digitized and virtually restored, to heritage LIDAR campaigns, to real-time machine tool twins on the factory floor. The technology kept changing; the discipline of keeping a digital model faithful to a living, physical thing never did.

Engineering

I build the systems underneath.

Full-stack architectures, real-time data pipelines, WebGL renderers, spatial APIs. I've led technically and shipped pragmatically – and learned that good architecture is mostly about knowing what not to build.

Management

I lead by designing the conditions for great work.

Clear ownership, honest feedback, and the kind of autonomy that lets people surprise you. I've scaled cross-functional teams through pivots and care as much about how a team feels as what it ships.

Product Design

Design, to me, doesn't stop at the screen.

I apply the same discipline to digital interfaces, brand identities, and physical form – always asking whether something feels as considered as it looks.

A brief overview of my career

COMING NEXT ???

Digital Twins & Industrial 3D Leader

I'm looking for a team where spatial computing meets real industrial challenges — where closing the loop between physical machines and their digital counterparts actually matters. If that's you, let's talk.

2025 - 2026 Backyou

Head of Connectivity

Led a four-person integration team at a Series B hospitality SaaS, connecting Property Management Systems through complex third-party APIs. Short tenure, clear mandate: stabilize a fragile integration layer and rebuild the process discipline the team needed to move faster.

2022 - 2025 JENII

Engineering Manager & Product Owner

Built a greenfield industrial Digital Twin platform for machine tools from zero — architecture, real-time 3D visualization, IoT pipelines, Siemens NC integration, all of it. Equal parts IC and product owner, with full autonomy on every technical decision. Coached two junior developers on a parallel VR project; both ended up owning their modules independently.

2022 - 2022 Oxxo Evolution

Freelance Consultant

Three months, one clear problem: a 400-person manufacturing company still tracking shopfloor offcuts on paper. I went to the floor, understood the process firsthand, then built the full solution — backend, frontend, APIs, database, workflows — from scratch.

2020 - 2022 Woody Burgundy

Solo Founder & Industrial Designer

A deliberate detour into physical making. I set up a woodworking workshop, learned CAD/CAM and CNC operations from the inside, and went through the full loop: design, fabrication, brand, market. It taught me more about the gap between digital models and physical reality than anything else could have.

2012 - 2020 Paztec

Co-founder, CEO & CTO

Eight years building the company I co-founded: from first client to a team of eight, 20+ national implementations across heritage, construction, and industrial sectors. We built AR apps, photogrammetry pipelines, LIDAR capture systems, and full-stack web platforms. One industrial AR suite generated €5M in measurable ROI for a single client.

2009 - 2012 Arts et Métiers ParisTech

R&D Engineer

My first professional role — hired into a research team at Arts et Métiers ParisTech as an R&D engineer. I shipped a production-grade AR application and ran full LIDAR and photogrammetry capture campaigns on real heritage sites. The school was my employer, not my classroom.

2007 - 2008 Institut Image — Arts et Métiers ParisTech

Specialized Masters — VR & Simulation

Specialist program in Virtual Reality (VR), real-time simulation and digital project management at the Institut Image. Directly preceded the R&D role at Arts et Métiers ParisTech.

2006 - 2007 Arts et Métiers ParisTech

Research Master

Research Master in Digital Engineering. The foundation of the spatial computing and simulation expertise built on ever since.

2003 - 2007 Arts et Métiers ParisTech

Industrial and Mechanical Engineering Degree

Five-year engineering program (Diplôme d'ingénieur) in Industrial Engineering with a focus on mechanics and fabrication processes.
